Parental information page - valuing our relationship with parents

Kirkland Rowell Survey 2017

Our parents have been surveyed by an independent organisation, Kirkland Rowell Surveys, and the outcome has been overwhelmingly positive:

Parents grade the quality of the Teaching, Learning and Assessment as Outstanding.

This judgement has been reached as after analysing parents’ surveys using the OFSTED framework based on:

Development of potential;

School communication;

Regular marking of work;

Treating pupils fairly and equally;

Ensuring pupils do best and make good progress;

Encouraging and listening to parents views;

Levels of homework;

Exam results;

Explaining to parents how to help their child;

Teaching quality.

Parents grade Behaviour and Welfare as Outstanding

This judgement has been reached as parents have graded the categories below as outstanding:

Personal development;

Behaviour;

Encouraging racial harmony;

Welfare;

School’s actions to tackle all forms of bullying, harassment, discrimination or derogatory language;

School’s behaviour;

Control of bullying;

Levels of homework;

Developing potential;

Our students grade;

Community Spirit;

Developing confidence;

Social development.

Overall, our students and parents are very satisfied with the school performance and 99% would recommend the school.

Year 7 students and VI Form girls gave the School the highest scores. Therefore, they are the most satisfied with the overall School performance.  The year 7 children and the girls currently at the School would recommend the School to others more than any other group of pupils.
