The Crypt School GCSE Results 2015

The Crypt School has recorded a record number of top A*-A grades in this year’s GCSE exams.  Over 50% of grades were at the top A*-A level, with over 80% of grades awarded either an A*, A or B grade.  55% of students gained 5 or more A*-A grade passes, with 35% achieving 8 or more A*-A grade passes.   97.5% of students achieved the benchmark statistic of 5 A*-C including English and Maths.

The top performing students were Jude Hunt with 11 A*, 1 A^ and 1 A grade, David Ellis with 10 A* and 2 A grades, Trayvone Idisi with 10 A* and 1 A grade, George Mans with 10 A* and I A, Jacob McLaughlin with 10 A*, 1 A^ and 2 A grades, Matthew Griffin with 8 A*, 1 A^ and 1 A grade, Toby Williams with 7 A*, 1 A^ and 5 A grades, Ryan Butler who achieved 8 A* grades and 6 A grades, William Dobson with 8 A* and 3 A grades, Oliver Lynch with 8 A* and I A grade

The Headmaster, Nicholas Dyer was delighted with the results, commenting: “These are very impressive results indeed particularly in light of national concerns over marking in Maths and English Literature for example and the tightening up of grade boundaries. They are a testament to the skill, passion and sheer hard work of staff at the school, allied to the exceptional efforts of our students.”
