GCSE results were up significantly again at The Crypt.

Crypt boys celebrate another fantastic year!  GCSE results were up significantly again at The Crypt.  In the standard measure, 100% of boys achieved 5 A*-C including English and Maths, with a further significant rise in the percentage of A* and A grades awarded.  For the first time over 50% achieved 5 A-A grades and over 30% achieved 8 A*-A grades, all of course in traditional "tough" GCSEs.    Top achievers were Cameron Fern who achieved ten A*, one A^ and one A grade in full course GCSE's and three A*'s in GCSE short courses and Jack McClaren who achieved eleven A* and one A grade in his full courses and three A* in short course GCSE's. The Headmaster, Jonathan Standen, commented:  "This achievement is based on our students tremendous work ethic and the dedication and skill of our teachers and support staff.  These results are the best ever achieved by the school, bucking the national trend.  In a year when the press is commenting on GCSEs getting tougher there is no complaint from The Crypt."
