At least 30% of the new 2018 Year 7 entry will be girls.

The Crypt School Headmaster, Nicholas Dyer, is delighted that at least 30% of the new 2018 Year 7 entry will be girls.

‘We are delighted that nearly a third of those children who have been offered a place in Year 7 for September 2018 entry are girls and two-thirds boys, which meets our expectations. From September 2018, The Crypt School will have its first truly co-educational intake into Year 7.

Other parents in the city and region, whose son or daughter achieved the qualifying standard, but have not been offered a place at The Crypt School, will be pleased to learn that additional places are available in Year 7 for September 2018, and we now expect considerable interest from them to fill those places via the waiting lists.  We are also aware of parents who have recently moved into the area and a late test is offered to their children for September 2018 entry.

For those children who have missed out on a grammar school place, or a place at The Crypt, there is also the opportunity to appeal.  Please see www.cryptschool.org.uk for further details and forms to complete.

For parents of children in Year 6, who are interested in securing a place at The Crypt School in September 2018, we will be holding a series of information sessions on Thursday 1st, Friday 2nd and Tuesday 6th March at 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.  Please contact Sue Wales swales@crypt.gloucs.sch.uk  or phone on 01452 530291 to book a place.
