The Crypt School jazz band competed in the prestigious National Concert Band Festival

The Crypt School jazz band competed in the prestigious National Concert Band Festival south west regional festival, held at All Saints Academy, Cheltenham yesterday.

Since its modest beginnings over 30 years ago, ncbf (National Concert Band Festival) has developed and grown in size and prestige until now it is recognised as the largest, most active, enterprising Festival for wind instrument musicians who play in wind bands or big bands throughout the UK.

The school jazz band performed brilliantly and received an outstanding gold certificate for their performance. This is not an easy award to attain - they performed against county and university bands, they were one of the only school bands in the festival! Well done to all the musicians involved!
