Mobile Planetarium visit

Mobile Planetarium visit

To round off National Science week in March, students from all over Gloucester recently enjoyed a space odyssey at The Crypt School as we welcomed Simon and his amazing mobile planetarium who brought us a spectacular digital show.

Throughout the day, groups of fifty students sat in the enormous dome to be taken on a journey through the solar system. Year 8 students also enjoyed watching an animation called ‘We are Stars’, which showed the formation of the elements in the supernovae.

We thank Simon for his inspiring shows, bringing astronomy to students' lives and we are grateful for our Teaching School status which allows us to fund such activities for local primary schools.
