Boys Sport

We are extremely proud of the extensive opportunities available to all students to engage with school sport outside of the classroom. There is a club or practice running almost every day and a comprehensive fixture list of competitive fixtures. Maintaining the grammar school traditions rugby and cricket are a big focus but other sports are not neglected to ensure a comprehensive sporting programme.

Pupils of all abilities are given the opportunity to develop their skills at their own pace and the school maintains a strong and very competitive fixture list to challenge students. Fixtures predominately take place on a Saturday morning against other local grammar, comprehensive and independent schools. We offer A, B and C team fixtures where possible in the junior year groups leading up to 1st 2nd 3rd teams in senior sport. Each year we enter regional and national competitions, such as the NatWest Cup (U15 & U18) and the EDF Cup (U14) in rugby, district and county competitions for handball, cricket, football, badminton and table tennis.

Many individuals have represented the Gloucester District, County, South West and England Schools within their chosen sport. We historically have a strong representation in the current Gloucester RFC Academy and DPP squads and district cricket squads.

The PE Department use the school sport website to organise, manage and inform people of fixtures and results on a weekly basis. All the latest information about our sports fixtures can be found on the following:
