The Crypt School is a selective grammar school
The School has always had a sound academic tradition and in recent years a drive towards academic excellence has resulted in increasing academic success at both GCSE and A-Level. Most boys study 10 subjects at GCSE from the wide range available providing them with a broad basis of knowledge and skills.
Around 80% of our GCSE students have chosen the subjects which together make up the new English Baccalaureate. The large sixth form permits a wide choice of different subjects at AS and A level, and many of our students study a combination of arts and science subjects. The academic curriculum is supported by other enrichment opportunities such as the Open University scheme and EPQ, both offered to Sixth Form students.
You can find out more about the lower, upper and Sixth Form curricula from the linked pages. Department pages provide more detail about each subject.
